 New Wide-Head Self-Clinching Studs
Captive now produces Wide-Head self-clinching Studs (Series HCW), which provide strong load bearing threads in steel sheet materials as thin as .040 in. (1mm).
The Wide-Head Studs offer installation advantages over conventional weld studs by eliminating all of the undesirable conditions associated with the electro-welding process, such as heat, discoloration, flashing, burning or weld spatter.
HCW Studs are available in larger inch (1032, 1/4-20, 518) and metric (M5, M6, M8) sizes in lengths to 2.5 in. (70 mm) long. The heat treated studs are zinc plated with a clear trivalent chromate finish.
